うちのHDD+DVDレコーダは東芝機ですが、DVDドライブがいかれてしまう持病に遂に罹ってしまいました。orz...
ドライブは東芝サムソンのSD-W3002で、これの信頼性がやたら低いのです。
修理に出してもまた同じものに替えられてしまうので、別のドライブに交換してしまうのが某掲示板方面で流行ってます。
そこで実績の多い日立LGのGSA-4167Bというドライブを買ってきました。
いわゆる殻付きDVD-RAMは使えないのですが、殆ど使ってないので問題無しです。
以下、交換の手順
・一度PCにつなぎファームウェアを最新にしておく
・トレーを出したままにしてから、外す
・トレーの裏側から前面パネルが引っかかっている爪を外してパネルを取る
・ドライブ枠に付いているパネルも爪を外して取り去る
・トレーを元に戻す
・RDを外枠を外す
・ハードディスクのケーブルを外す
・ハードディスクを底板に付けてるステーのビスを外し、それごとハードディスクを外す
・DVDドライブのケーブルを外す
・DVDドライブのビスを外してドライブを外す
・新しいのに入れ替えて、DVDドライブとハードディスクをビス止めし、ケーブルを元にもどす
・ここで一度電源とTVをつなぎ動作を確認
・大丈夫なら外枠を元に戻して終了〜
DVD-R/-RW/-RAMを簡単に試してみましたが、特に問題なく使えました。
調子が悪くなった人はメディアの方を壊す前にドライブを交換してしまったほうがよいですよ。
[追記]
高速度記録対応のメディアを使ったらどうなるのか？という話が某所であったので試してみました。
結論としては変化無し。
テストには６倍速対応DVD-RWと５倍速対応DVD-RAMメディアを使ってみましたが、どちらも本来の仕様である１倍速と２倍速の書き込み速度になってしまいました。
