PSP用のGPS対応地図ソフト第２弾ですよ。
左のMAPLUSポータブルナビがGPS対応の第１弾だったわけですが、これに比べてどう違うのか？
結論は、ナビに使うならMAPLUS、地図に使うならみんなの地図２って感じ。
MAPLUSは「ポータブルナビ」と言う位なので名古屋→東京のルート探索も出来るし、東名高速上も位置を把握しつ続けてましたが、みんなの地図の方は3km圏内の徒歩ナビしかできないらしい。
逆に、地図の見やすさでいうとみんなの地図２の方が上です。
これの最大のウリとしてはGPS無しでも自分の位置が判るというPlaceEngine対応というのがあります。
PSPの無線LAN機能を使って、拾えたアクセスポイントの情報から位置を推測するようです。
そのデータベースに入ってないと場所は判らないので、自宅はPlaceEngineで測位出来ませんでした。
ここでがっかりするのはまだで、GPSで拾った位置と無線LAN APの情報を、アップロードする機能があるので、これをどんどん集積していくと測位出来る場所が増えて行く仕組みらしい。
ということで、早速自宅の位置をアップロード！
車で走りながら位置登録しまくるとさらにいいのかもしれない。
