世の中はiPhone 3GSで盛り上がっているというのに、今頃PHSに手をだしてしまいましたよ。
事務手数料無し、端末費用無し、月々980円でネット使い放題というので契約。
実際は第三世代携帯のデータ定額制に押されて、WILLCOMは契約者数が減りまくっているので、そのテコ入れ策ですなぁ。
手に入れた端末はNS001Uというもので、画像の右下がRX420INという通信カード(W-SIM)と、その上がパソコンに繋ぐためのUSBアダプタのセット。
左は２年前にじゃんぱらで買ったW-ZERO3というWindows Mobile端末で、やっと電話として使えるようになりました。
通信速度は規格上は最高204Kbpsですが、実効レートは昔のISDN２本分(128Kbps)より若干速い感じ。定額制なので画像添付しまくりのメールが来ても大丈夫だし、フルブラウザも画面が大きいので携帯電話より操作しやすいですな。
あと、Skype 3.0 for Windows Mobileを入れてますが、PHSデータ回線経由でも普通に音声通話できるので電話代もタダ！です。3.0からはファイル転送機能がついたのでiPhone/Touch用のSkypeより機能が勝ってるかも。
980円で使える期間は２年なのだけど、これを越えて正規料金3880円になってしまったら捨てますな（w。
